“The place was great and the location to every ting was perfect. As many places on the coast, expect to walk and climb a lot. The view was amazing. We had a great time and Maria was very helpful. I highly recommend this place!! Mark NYC”

This is a very Lovely place, great views, and very clean. You are a little farther away from town but the cabs know exactly the villa is! The owner is the most popular man in town and Maria was a great communicator and easily accessible! It was very spacious to accommodate all 8 of us.

“We (two couples) had the privilege of staying at Villa Maria Oct 1-5, 2017. We just loved the Villa and Praiano. The view is absolutely stunning and the apartment is very spacious and tastefully decorated. Anyone who visits the Amalfi Coast will love this place. Looking out at the water and watching sun rises from the spacious deck was simply perfect. We strongly suggest 1) hiking the Sentieri deglie Dei (Path of the Gods); definitely a top 3 Hike for us, right up there with Banff/Yosemite... 2) visiting Ravello (perhaps the best of the best of the Amalfi Coast).”

We stayed at Villa Maria in August-Sept 2017. The views are amazing and this is why I would rent this villa. The villa itself is "okay". It was very clean but there was nothing at all stocked in the kitchen, i.e. no salt, pepper, or anything at all. I would recommend to ask about the bedroom configuration if you are going with additional couples. I would not stay here if that were the case. A family would do fine but bedrooms are connected quite tightly. The bathroom that is on the website is very nice but it is off the kitchen, not off the bedroom. The kitchen was not convenient to the terrace so it would have been nice to have it all connected better. But, let me go back to the terrace...it was awesome. And the location to the market is great. The washing machine is quite the experience for an American...had to ask for directions on how to use. Staff was very helpful and responsive. Now that I know what to expect, I may stay here again if only my husband and me. But really would look at other options as well.

Fabulous views and beautiful villa overlooking Positano!!! We booked this villa for 2 couples for the last week of September and it was perfect; the villa and weather! The patio was huge with 3 different seating areas and an above ground pool. The pictures are not retouched i.e. made to look larger than it is - it simply is huge and impressive! The kitchen was nicely stocked for breakfasts and light cooking. The owners could not have been more gracious and responsive. This is a wonderful property. Positano is known as the 'vertical city' so there are many many steps and steep inclines while walking up to the villa from town down by the beach. However, if you don't mind the exercise (to walk off the fabulous food and wine!), then you will adore this property as we did.

Absolutely Perfect! My family and I were practically giddy when Maria first led us into this beautiful villa. What a find! It is exactly as described and pictured - tranquil and elegant, tastefully decorated, immaculate. And the view!! We spent almost every waking minute there on the terrace - the morning light is breathtaking; at night, the twinkling glow of Praiano village to the left and Positano to the right is mesmerizing. We were very happy to have ended up in Praiano rather than Positano, which is where our on-line searches for Amalfi destinations kept pointing us. While Positano does have more restaurants, nightlife and shopping, it is packed with tourists. Praiano is a respite from the frantic activity of the Amalfi Coast - so laid-back and peaceful, yet with plenty of good restaurants (Kasai was a particular favorite) and cafes. Most are within walking distance of the villa, but many restaurants will pick you up and bring you home at no charge. Also within walking distance is a beautiful beach and a little market with wine, produce, cheese and staples. It had everything we needed, so we didn't make use of the larger supermarket, which also provides pick-up/drop-off or delivery service. It's easy to get anywhere on the Amalfi Coast from Praiano, including Capri. The bus to Positano stops very near the villa; buses to Amalfi and other destinations stop in town. If you decide to walk The Path of the Gods from Praiano to Positano, be prepared! The views are dazzling, but the path is very steep and narrow in places, and not well marked. Bring plenty of water and wear good shoes! Other things to know: there's no ice in the villa and no way to make it, so if that's important to you pack a couple of ice cube trays (not sure you can get bags of ice from the market). Neither were there napkins or paper towels, enough toilet paper, or detergent for the dishwasher or washing machine. Not a big deal at all...just a head's up. A call to the supermarket on your first day might be necessary. Also, the wi-fi is a bit spotty, but who cares when you're living a dream on the Amalfi Coast?!

Wonderful place. The apartment is really well. The view is fantastic and of course the area wonderful. And thanks to Maria.

“Maria's place was spacious with a fantastic view, easy to walk to with luggage, very close to a supermarket which was convenient and also some good restaurants and the beach. You will need to purchase some basic amenities such as salt, pepper, washing powders and probably extra toilet paper. Praiano is a cute and quaint town which we loved and overall our stay was very enjoyable.”
